Design Inspiration:

Kerongsang is the Malay term for brooch and is traditionally worn with a baju kebaya. Baju kebaya is a traditional blouse-dress combination that originated from the court of the Javanese Majapahit Kingdom (today Indonesia), and is traditionally worn by women in Asia, more prominently in Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei.

This particular design was inspired by floral woodcarvings found across of Asia. Bunga means flower in Malay and in the Indonesian language. Hence, the name Keronsang Bunga.

Wear Suggestions:

This majestic yet intricate set is 1/3 the weight of traditional kerongsang sets at just over 100gm. Therefore, the complete set can be worn at the same time as a necklace like in the product image. However, you can remove the bottom 2 peices and wear it as a single necklace or as individual brooches, if you wish.

Material:

The main pieces are rhodium plated with a brass core.

The chains are stainless steel.
